Player Nationality Poll

ok, it seems to me that there are an unusually high proportion of Aussies playing this game. So I'd like to find out where everybody is actually from :).

So if you play Galciv, please post your Nationality in response to this.

Texas; in the USA but once an independent country
End of quote

Yeah, that was before Texas annexed the United States. And like any good marriage, a fella doesn't realize what he's in for until it's too late. LOL Texas has got itself hooked to "the old ball and chain" now, and there ain't no divorce in the works. But... like any good marriage, the fella has sense to leave the spouse to do her own thing, and he does his, and mostly there ain't too much fightin, long as they don't git too much into each other's hair. :D

Suprising that ANZAC is not the biggest empire since, ANZAC was the name created for the Australian and New Geanis' Corps during World War 1 in which i'd like to add the ANZACS performed valiantly throughout the war and most notably in the battles of Verdun and Somme. SO now that we know the history of ANZAC i'd just like to say that...ITS ALL ABOUT THE USA BABY AND IT DOESN'T GET BETTER!!!!!!!! :D

Brotherhood, a slight correction, ANZAC stands for the Australia and New Zealand Army Corps. The biggest and most strategic victory that the ANZACs made was when the 4th and 12th Lighthorse Regiments (800 Lighthorse Infantry) stormed the well of Beersheeba in WWI, taking the city alone, against 4000 fortified Turkish troops. Something that 50000 brittish troops had failed to do earlier. The well of Beersheeba was the key to the allied forces taking the holy lands back in WWI. Some info: http://www.lighthorse.org.au/histbatt/beersheba.htm

More famously, the ANZACs showed just how brave and ingenious they were in gallipolli (again in WWI). The Brittish had ordered a retreat from the area. The ANZACs managed to deceive the Turks into thinking that they were still there, while they fled in the night.

Both links are very interesting reads, especially for history nuts, Aussies, or people who are generally interested in WWI

Well put Smegged, if General Allenby was here he would probably have you replace T.E. Lawrence and lead Prince Fizil in the war against the Turks. Which I might add, were the insirgents in the first holocaust and degredation of Armenians :HOT:

Well, I'm of mixed heritage, Eire, Kernow, Cymru and Espania, but currently reside in Norwich, UK.

Of course, as a PanGaean, I don't really believe in 'Nationality'. We are all one in PanGaea, and on the other planets we reach... :HOT:
