Query about the Expansion Pack

from Stardock Forums

I keep hearing people talk about the expansion pack.

I only got GalCiv recently and downloaded all the updates... (1.11) did this include the expansion? If so, how would the game have been like without the expansion... is "expansion" here the code word for "big patch"?

I want to make sure I have the most complete game I can, so thanks in advance for clearing it up for me. :)

Yes 1.11 is the latest patch/expansion/bug fixer issued
so you have all that you need at this moment future patch will still come out every month and a future expansion (you will have to pay for this one) is on the plans for next year.

PS if you are looking for an empire come and join the Jedi republic. ;)

JEdis are too big for my tastes. I am with the new Paradox Empire (planet population.. 2 :p ).

Thanks for the info. Did the "expansion" change alot. What is slated for the real "expansion?"

The expansion (the patch 1.10) added some really nice features (waypoints, technology library, etc.). You can find the list of changes on Stardock Central.

There is a new expansion coming out called "Altarian Propehcy" ;)
