Your Most Powerful Ship Ever!

I wonder with all the possible improvements (Tri-streel, exotic alloyes, Star Base Millitary enhancements, experience point bonuses . . . etc etc) how powerful a ship (esp the Excalibur) can actualy get?

Hit Points:
Attack Value:
Defense Value:

If you keep getting the ship experience, there is no upper limit for attack and defense. Also remember that starbases also provide a boost to attack and defense.

Also hadn combats, ship against ship increases the hitpoints of your ships, plus anomalies, events and techs can increase the defense and attack points, or you could use the mods at the library where some of them increase these points also.

I was hoping some of you might have examples . . .

In a recent game the Yor had some Excaliburs nearly twice as powerful as mine! Something like . . .

Hit Points: 982
Attack Value: 268
Defense Value: 312

:( . . . owch!

The best I've ever been able to produce is a 700 hp (Vet) Excalibur :notsure:

... oh well, in my last game the torians had an exc. with an attack value of 400sth (luckily they were my allies); my best ship had an attack of 379, but only a defense of about 100 or so ... how come? :notsure:

The best possible ship would be an early game ranger that gobbled up a whole bunch of +weapons, +armor, and +HP anomalies.

This sounds like an interesting challenge game: Try to get the most powerful single ship possible.

Hmm, this is just my game!! :)

I cant remember what stats Ive gotten my excaliburs up to. I know that ive had around 400 for an attack rating and 600 for hp on a medium map. I think that ship was level 3. Its hard to level an Excalibur since you dont get much experience unless you kill really big ships, like avatar and above. Ive had my battle hammers routinely get to level 5 and 6 since I keep the same ones around the whole game. I make sure that they stay alive. Ive buffed them up enough in the past to where I could take out enemy avatars with them :HOT:

I play the power up game with my survey ship, I don't keep stats, but I do keep track of ships killed.

Had one survey ship take out 2 Torian Dreadnoughts and 3 Frigates without needing repair. Was playing War Party with a number of military starbases...

Interesting thread.
Never encountered any ships as powerful as these quoted in my humble games.
Hope I never do.

Great replies so far folks! I'm pretty carefully with my survey vessel and ussualy keep it out of trouble until I finish the game. THe best stats I've ever reached on it was with ver 1.05 (ages ago) . . . it was something like . . .

Hit Points: 348
Attack Value: 92
Defense Value: 68

Back in those days I used to play War Party all the time though . . .

I've never built anything bigger than a Dreadnaught (unless you count terror stars).

I've just finished a life-long game and my best Excalibur (which was still on level 0) was:

HP: 735
AT: 324
DE: 66

This was the basic points - I had no starbase military upgrades. I was using War Party.

PS. I wiped out hundreds of the Altarian Overlords with just a dozen of these without losing 1 ship!

Something borrowed something blue!

Woe thats a Nasty Piece of Technology . . . hoehum I miss playing as the War Party :(

I took a shot of an Excalibur recently. This wasn't even my strongest one, just one at random from the end of a game.

Did not play war party, clearly, but otherwise it beats what has been listed here so far.

While we're on the topic, here is also my best-ever trade route:

Jotunheim to Britanion! :D

That was a real route, too, from a strong double system in my back lines to the best AI system on the map, five full planets. :HOT: That AI system was so incredibly juicy, I ended up relying on it for most of my trade.

I've never seen an excalibur yet :(

So I've never seen a ship in the 700s hitpoints. Taht should be interesting, except when it's not yours...

I rarely build anything bigger than a Death Knight.
