Droid5150,

The problem is that when you originally installed GalCiv you entered the serial number incorrectly.  In the last set of digits you entered an L (as in Lima) instead of an I (as in Ice).  Because the serial number on your system does not match the serial number in our database is the reason that your scores are not showing up.  I have corrected your serial number for the game data that you have already submitted.

However, for new submissions to show up correctly you will need to either Re-Install GalCiv from the CD and enter the serial number correctly or if you are using Stardock Central you can update your serial number in the Register your Productions section.

After you have correctly updated your serial number your games should show up after you submit them.

This thread should be deleted.

Droid5150, please refrain from the profanity and do not attack other members of this site.  It appears that T-Man has corrected your mistyped serial number issue.  Please follow his other instructions.

I am going to repeat my post from the other tread

"Thank you, frustration I can understand I get many times frustrated when the game does weird things, but that doesnot and I repeat doesnot entitled anyone to come to this board and use and abuse the privilege to post here. So I think that Stardock should write some kind of policy about this, forgive me if you already has done this. But I believe that these situations can be avoided by reiterating the postion of the owner of this board about the use of profanities. Zero tolerance must be the policy, one strike and you are out. We the older players in this board have the moral obligation to keep the purity of the game intact by taking actions against those individuals who abuse of the privilege of posting here. So I think that Stardock must take some steps to avoid such a hideous incidents from happening again by establishing some kind of moderators to whom those who are concerned about the materials or the language use can be report to."

Children are coming to this site and we must protect them for exposure to such language.

tonight has simply been an attempt to garner some attention ,,,as doing it the nice and polite way over 20 + emails over the last 3 months to support does not work
End of quote

Judging by the way that you have slapped away every hand of help offered to you here, I seriously doubt that you were ever "nice and polite" in your previous requests. Nobody wants to help a jerk. My 2 year old has more maturity than you. I cant believe Tman actually did help you. Hats off to you Tman. You have more patience for the idiotic than me. Go take a nap Droid.

No, don't ban him yet. I'm still waiting for the "eat humble pie" post, where he thanks T-Man for pointing out that his serial number was typed in wrong (and for fixing it to boot), and apologizes to everyone else he flamed.

What? I can dream, can't I?

LOL LOL LOL I don't think that his ego will allow him to apologize, he is still raising hell in other treads after he received the help he needed. But like you said never is too late for someone to change, "humble pie" it is good, taste sour at the beginning but sweet when you swallow, special when you swallow your pride. I hope he apologizes but I doub it. :sniff!:

I am not a raving lunatic but maybe someone could help me too. I have tried to submit several games and only one shows up when you click on my name. If you look at the stats, there is something weird there and my score is zero.

Any ideas what the problem could be?

It's anomalous, it could mean one of several things. You might have a mod that caused it, or you may have enabled cheat keys. If you haven't done either of those you may just need to resubmit it. Sometimes resubmitting an anomalous game will fix it.

Ok, I have not done either of those things. I will try to re-submit and see if it works.

I couldn't figure out what the heck the problem was.

I think that there is a bug in the 1.10 expansion pack that gives some of your games, right from the start a zero score, no matter that the total score is still going, I have already over 9 games with this problem, what I am doing right now is starting the game run couple of turns saving the game and then retiring to see if the score is already zero or not, if it is I just delete the game and start a new one,if not I just reload the saved one and keep playing.

That is a good suggestion and was suggestd in another thread to me as well.

Thanks for all the help. I think these message boards are great!

im done posting i have achieved my goal and will now leave u all alone and just play and submit .... later ....

Bigman, Stardock has some method (details unknown) by which it checks to see if the player is cheating, in which case it assigns anomalous scores. Unfortunately there seems to be some glitches in it where it assigns anomalous scores to legit games. It's probably nothing you did, and your next game will most likely be fine.

If you really really want it fixed you could email CariElf and have her take a look at it.

Droid5150, the CD installer looks for a certain code and then some filler.  You entered the code that *it* looked for correctly but made a typo in the rest of it.  Online, we check against and exact match database, so your mistyped code won't fly here.  You need to reinstall making sure that you type it in exactly as it should be.

pardon me while I smack my head repeatedly on the desk.....

Please read my previous post again.

Cliff notes version: the CD installer doesn't look for a 100% match- online does.

I want to thank all of you, specially Droid5150 with the JarJar lingo. These threads are hilarious. I'm clipping them out right now and sending copies to each of my friends that knows what RTFM stands for. Again, thanks. :D :D :D
