Great job on the first of the year for you, Rick! I knocked out a Small/Maso last night. I think the spell of "Ultimate Scoring" has been cast and we are beginning to feel the effects! :D

I know what's happened! The Fellowship of the Ring got the random event where they gain "an item of power" that "increases their strength" until they conquer the galaxy. Hmmmm I wonder if the makers of Galciv knew about the true power of the One Ring when they made the metaverse.

Spec Forces need a Frodo and Sam so that they can cast the One Ring into the Fires of Mt Doom to destroy it forever. Or at least an Arwen to distract all the men in the Fellowship....

I saw Return of the King. Now it does remind me of Glal Civ. The Special Forces is a small band of heroes wedged between nearly insurmountable odds - gallantly holding their own against the Fellowship and Euros despite being outnumbers nearly 17:1.

I mean the Fellowship can't claim to be the underdogs. You guys should have 6 times our score, not 600,000 k more... we all know how the movie ended. Maybe the Special Forces will be able to defeat the overwhelming large forces of evil they face.
Actually, the 13 champions of the Fellowship have contributed more than 2,000,000 more metaverse points and it is only by the perverse will of Saruman that we are in second due to a scoring system that penalizes the top players so the masses have a chance. And we have submitted many more maso games as well... so I won't count out our fellowship.

Wouldn't that me a great story for 2004?

I am however quite relieved that you are able to ignore the truth and continue your quest.
