What!? No Movie?

Ok, I got a great little movie when I built my first battleship. But, when I built my first Terror Star, no movie. Ok, I thought, I'll see a movie the first time I use it. So, I anihilate a star system. Still no movie. I like those little in game movies, they add a bit of character and connection into the game.

Is the 1.09 explosion an improvement? I was awfully disappointed when my first 1.05 Terror Star produced a blast that was effectively identical to shooting down a wimpy Star Fighter, and I haven't used one since.

Yes, now the word KABOOM! appears over the explosion. LOL

They spruced up the explosion graphics in 1.09. It certainly looks more impressive than the standard blast.

They should have left the original explosion, and added a popup of Marvin the Martian in a corner of the screen: "Where's the Kaboom? There was SUPPOSED to be an Earth-shattering KABOOM!" :D

I think that the explosion should open a window and in there you could see an image similar to the one in Star Wars when the planet was destroyed, that was a good movie.

Nah, there should be like a 5% chance of your Terror Star not igniting the right solar processes, so the attack just fizzles. Then you could have the Marvin the Martian pop up. LOL

1.09 is the version number for the beta, Dark. You can't get it unless you are a Drengin.net subscriber. Anyway, the Xpack (v 1.1) will be out next week.

I like Terror Stars, but I don't use them to blow up star systems. I just load them up with Party Palaces and Satalite Water Parks and march across the Galaxy, slowly converting everyone over to my empire... :HOT:

Bernie, look under the features and fixes under the Beta changes listed in this http://sdcentral2.stardock.com/public/gc1/beta/history.htm . These will be in the Xpack. May have more if there are last minute additions.

We can download the Xpack just like any other patch using SDC. I believe there probably will be a standalone download as well.
