Repost - cannot get Stardock Central 1.02a to work upon reinstall

I posted about this last weekend but never got an answer, so I'm asking the question here again. I had to replace my motherboard last weekend and ended up doing a reinstall of some software, including Stardock Central 1.02a. The install proceeded properly, at least according to the installer, but the program simply won't work - every time I start it up, I get an error message stating "failed to initialize XML data". I've uninstalled and reinstalled it repeatedly and even tried to re-download it, but to no avail. Help!!!

Are you runing any encryption software i.e. yEnc and the like, there are some issues I believe with these and XML data (depending on how it is accessed and read) although I'm no expert . . .

Hopefully someone out there will see this if we keep it on the front page . . . busy busy busy with the BETA I'd imagine, hang in there good luck. I'll see if I can find anything further but I think its a SDC software issue.

As far as I know, I'm not running any encryption software. I have a software firewall (Sygate Personal Firewall) and antivirus (Norton Antivirus) but those were both in place back before I originally installed SDC in February, and I never had a problem with SDC before then. I also have DirectX 9.0a installed, but I don't really see how that could affect SDC.
