well it says alias then it sais name .. yet shows an email slotted entry ... so i put my email there obviously not what was need .... ive read the turn in rules and am still not clear in what is need to SIMPLY turn in a game .............. when the game ended i put in my alias name and email .....this correct or no ???? according rules its wrong but if so then why the email spaced space ?????

the thing is actually formulated in email fom .....your name @ myplace.com o some such ,,,

Hmmmm you're sposed to put the email in you registered with, in the email slot and also your player name in its slot. Hmmmm did you register both here and the metaverse under that name? I'd go ahead and look for the thread meta submission problems and post there. meanwhile save your games one turn from the end so you can get em posted when its's fixed.

Droid,

Key DROID5150 into alias and your registered email address into the email.

Key DROID in uppercase, just in case it is case sensitive. Noticed you have Droid5150 as nick and DROID5150 as playername.

If it is case sensitive and you have submitted your last game as Droid5150 instead of DROID5150, then changing your player name here http://www.galciv.com/playerreg.asp to Driod5150 should show it up.

ok .. i think i understand .... i did do the DROID5150 and the email ..... so all should be well : ) .. and yes .. i did know the difference in the upper and lower cases, good point there.

Droid, the updates to the Metaverse are usually very quick, ie I can see it immediately after submitting.

Maybe you want to try submitting a new game.

Just also to check, are you behind a firewall?

no firewall .. im aware of ... home PC with XP ,,,

i went in and changed the name as u suggested in your link and still no go ... so both styles of DROID5150 are registered as well ...

I really wish I could help you further Droid, but this is as much as I know regarding submissions.

just wondering where the '5150' portion of your name came from...? (my theory: original model number of the IBM PC)

5150 = its a police code, means there chaseing an escaped luny from the loonie bin .. ...

or there dealing with someone SO outta control that they seem "crazy" ...

as this is what i did the 1st time around and still no go with that .....

if i cant get it to work this time guess ill just wait till the "simple" turn in process is updated to reflect my intelligence lvl ..

Don't get mad, but I want to be sure you are getting every angle:

Do you have an internet connection before you hit the "Turn" button for the last time (before the victory movie)? I found that unless I was connected to the net before the movie, I couldn't submit (i.e. connecting at the Summary screen).

I had several troubles, but as you can see I finally got it solved.

Correct.

My submissions take a good 10 to 15 seconds to send (or so I noticed). Whats more and this sounds a little strange, if I hit the submission button more than once I get spat out of the game or I get a submission failure . . . :notsure:

ok ..yes .. i was connected befor i sent the game ....DSL....

and... Ray thats what i did the 1st time around ...hehe we been thru that one but ok ,,, just about to finish another game and gonna pay closer attention ...


and ... only hit once ... thats kinda engrained by now eh ...



so ...lets see how the next turn in go's .... should be soon ...

Yet .. i have started another game ....i will not quit till i get atleast one score in there .... damnit ...

ok ,,, well another day or so ...

by the way .. i love the game ....it needs lots of work .. but is better than any other so called "resource management" game.....the variables are great...so many options .... im actually able to play the game in just about anyway i want .... its a GREAT 3/4 th of a work done .... the game looks like it will be more open after the end of summer patch ... looking forward to it ...

Keep trying, Droid. Your old game could have been corrupted.

I've just asked another fellow with problems as well to ensure that that he doesn't have any security (eg Norton Security) and ad blocker programs. Do check as well.
