Music disappeared..

I have played GC for a couple of days now, and everything worked fine, until today suddenly the music disappeared (the default music, not mp3).
I can't understand what I've done to cause this. Any ideas?

Load a game, and go to the menu. Look in the lower-right corner of the screen. If the music slider is set down, slide it back up. If it says "Music OFF," click the word "OFF" to change it back to "ON." If neither of these works, reboot your computer. Many problems in Windows are caused by bizarre, ephemeral phenomena that go away with a reboot.

Yes, I have already tried everything you said, that makes this problem a bit odd.

Oh, sorry everybody, my mistake. It seems a galactic power had pressed the "user defined playlist" to ON. Now everything seems to work just fine.
