If you're all this much lost with LiteSTEP then it'd be wise to revert to Explorer instead....and learn a little more about what LS is and what it is actually doing/intended for....

You need a degree for LiteSTEP.

That'll get you started.

There's really one rule about LiteSTEP.....'RTFM'....and computer proficiency should mean that's perfectly clear...

If you installed Litestep with the "Litestep Installer", there should be a desktop icon that sais "set shell as explorer", Click that first.

Then, look under the start menu (or right click on the desktop for the popup). Under programs \ Litestep, there should be an uninstall ion.

That will uninstall Litestep and return your computer to its original shell settings. Your computer should need to be rebooted for the original shell settings (Explorer as your shell) to take effect.

Explorer the shell is not exactly the same as windows explorer (but the two are inter-related).

Most people think of 'Explorer' as the file manager...which is only part of its function....the Explorer SHELL is the GUI you interface with....what you see on your screen when 'normal' Windows OS is installed and running.....task bar, start button and menu, etc. LiteSTEP is an alternative shell which replaces the 'Explorer GUI' or shell and provides a method of quite different OS interface generally more configurable than the 'normal' interface.

If the concept of changing shells/interfaces is a little novel or uncertain then it is considered 'wise' to read up a little more before diving in with both feet...

I was confident you could take the long and politically correct path to get to ...RTFM
