DesktopX Widget Problem

When I try to use a widget for DX, I always get a message telling me that DesktopX is not installed on my machine. I have DesktopX 2.1 (full version) and they [the widgets] won't detect the dang program. Someone please help me!

What is the path to your DX folder?

"C:\Program Files\Object Desktop\DesktopX" I've even tried placing the widgets themselves in the DX folder.

Try this, run DX and then activate a widget while DX is running. Then it should work without DX running after that.

That is what I did before even seeing this thread and it worked.

my guess is that it needs DX running to write a widget entry in the reg.... once the entry is there it works without DX running... just guessing.
