Do the diplomacy mechanics work with AI?

In the game's current status, does the AI have any ability to accept or offer any diplomatic relations?

I've played a few games, from Beta to the game's standing as is and I have found that not a single AI player has accepted any offers I made them. No ceasefire, shared vision, alliance offer has been accepted, even when i offered them tens of thousands of basic and advanced resources. Regardless if we are the same race, same ethos (Eg tec alliance and tec alliance), or how much i offer them, they've not accepted a single offer nor have they offered me any alliances like they did in SoaSE1.

This really is a critical bug - and cuts out a significant part of the gameplay.

That's something that the developers would have to answer. This game is still in development so it's going to be interesting if this is part of their plans. What do you think @RammaStardock ?

Hello!

The team has told me that the A.I should be willing to engage in diplomacy with players depending on their standing together. We'll take a look into this, but Id be curious to see if you've noticed any differences on the current Test branch build. One thing on the roadmap for 2025 is a revamp of the diplomacy system overall, so that's something to look forward too

That is great to know. I would be happy just seeing a numerical +5 or -10 ect. Of how much they like or hate you at the time. So you know if they are influence able or if they will just take your money and use it against you? Which tends to happen more than not to me.
