Saves are erased every time i start the game

I did 6 manual saves on my first game at around 30 minutes each to check and retry things. All was well. Closed the pc, came back and they where all there and worked. I ended the 1st game on that 2nd gaming session and closed everything.

Since then (we're talking "after only 2 play sessions") every time I start the game, no saves are shown under none of the save options (multi/single/manual/auto/etc) and when I save a game, if I close my pc, the next time I start it, the save are gone. I tried "verify game's integrity" via steam, to no avail and always get the same "1 file failed to validate and will be reacquired" with no follow up.

Anyone got that problem &/or an idea on how to resolve this (before I uninstall, reinstall, and play again for a while until this happens again)

Same for me, I play for hours, save the game manually and when I restart the next day, the saves are not recognized. Happened several times now. Stop playing now until this is resolved, would be a great game without that failure.

Error 50... error is sitting 50 cm in front of the screen. I had to chose the correct save directory (upper left corner). It was set by default to multiplayer, not single player, .... palying right now again :dur:

Happy for you, Aragon10 :)

Sadly for me (at the time), I did look at the various save directory, yet none where to be seen.

Since my original post, I tried for a couple of days, fearing that I'd have to erase and reinstall the game (and hope it stops doing that), and it eventually stop doing it for no apparent reason, since I had not erase and reinstall the game. I managed to play a complete game (lovely game btw) over the course of 2 days, but havent had time to retry since (lack of time from work).

Hopefully, saving will remain functional from now on. :)

This was happening to me, I think it was because mods were updated and thus the save game wasn't necessarily considered compatible anymore. But I believe there's a button somewhere to ignore that and show them/load them anyhow
