Just thinking of Star Wars where in ROTJ the emperor hid an entire fleet behind a planet and then made it appear after the rebels were deep in the well so to speak.
In Sins as soon as you jump into a gravity well you have instant god mode intel on everything anywhere out of sensor and sight range. Unless sensors can bump through a planets core or are being relayed to your vessels from the enemy or spies, this makes no sense.
Should scouting play a more major role in gravity wells. So I have to take a risk when going deep within a grav well without checking what might come from the other side of the planet? Or would this just be frustrating for the player and generally give no advantage anyway to the defender?
Should spie sensors hidden from view unless scans are conducted (think sins1 mines) be a thing. Should fleet high intensity sensor scans that take time upon entering a system be a thing? Should scout ships making a bee line across a grav well be able to see every little thing with a quick pass?
P.S. I already love the sins feature which tells you how old your intel is on a grav well.
