Some ship modules are not stated well. This will be (hopefully) an ongoing project to keep an eye on ship equipment in order to make them make sense and be better balanced.
Hull support is inferior to Shield Generators and Barrier Fields. It also costs more than double then the listed modules. Hull support is basically more hitpoints, but without the ability to recharge after battle like shields can.
While I'm thinking about it, I would like it there were a line of hull support modules much like there is a line of shields and armor. Though you would have to fix the price for them to be worth taking.
Cannon and Gauss Cannon have the same stats. Later Gauss Cannon is grouped under enhanced kinetic weapons.
Helios Rockets is grouped under kinetic weapons when it should be grouped under missiles. Later it is found under enhanced kinetic weapons.
Neutrion Emitter is grouped under kinetic weapons. Later it is grouped under enhanced kinetic weapons.
Strangely enough, many weapons are grouped under kinetic weapons until some form of enhanced kinetic weapons is researched. Then they are grouped under enhanced kinetic Weapons. The tech in question is Railguns.
Neither Interstellar Drive, Unshielded Thruster, or Promethean Drive mentions in the tooltips that they are 1-per-ship modules.
I would like more variety in defenses that don't require rare resources. Tier 1 & 2 shields have both a normal and advanced (rare resource) variants, but tier 3 & 4 only rare resource versions. Armor has similar problems.
Nested tooltips don't work in the tech navigator. I had to do some work to get some of this information cause I couldn't do it the easy way.
