Hi,
I just got off a game of rebellion with a few of my friends and it struck me how inefficient the game is at sorting friends from randos. It takes more clicks than it probably should to get into a friends game or even to the same channel.
We often take it for granted, in our modern gaming world, that it will be simple and intuitive to get linked up with our friends in a game.
I would like to list a few thoughts I had but seeing as it is midnight and I'm not a young as I used to be I cant vouch for the cohesiveness of these next words.
1. The Friends List.
This should be the landing page when looking to start a multiplayer game. From here you could party up and venture into the wild online world. We should not be dumped into a random chat channel and then have to track down our friends.
2. The Party Screen
Once you are in a party you should be able to coordinate color schemes and faction icons easily. The party leader should have some control over this.
3. Joining a Game.
When joining a game the party should be put all on one team unless the host has designated otherwise.
I'm sure there are plenty of issues with these ideas and I'm sure some have already been handled differently but if this is useful i'm happy to think it through with other people.
Thanks,
TGQ
