So excited to finally see SOSE2 announced, it's been a long time coming. It's dissapointing to hear about the Epic store exclustivity and that we'll have have to wait a year or so to get it on Steam but i'll keep tabs on it during the early access period on Epic and then get it on Steam when it's released.
Now on to the question. Will SOSE2 use a modified version of the advanced Ashes engine to fully make use of todays hardware or will it be a completely new engine? It doesn't really matter as long as it's a 64bit engine that makes full use of all the cores and memory available on modern systems along with modern gfx cards capabilities. I would assume this type of game would be more CPU bound than GPU bound but it would be interesting to hear if something could be done on the graphics card side as well.
