Problem with ObjectDesktop, please help!

I am using ObjectDesktop and I want it to start when Windows XP starts. I can configure it this way, but whenever Windows XP starts, ObjectDesktop starts and immediatley crashes. This only happens when it starts up with Windows XP, I can easily open it any other time with no problem. Thank you in advance.

By the way, when I say ObjectDesktop I meant ObjectBar, my mistake.

Try reinstalling it. Than use the setting to either make it startup or just put it in ur startup folder.

I don't use object bar but, can't you just put a shortcut to it in your start-up folder?

I could, but I'd really rather not have to click and load sometihng, and hide my start button. I'd rather have it work like it supposed to. Please, anyone?

ObjectBar requires SDMCP or MCP listed under SDC, but by default SDMCP gets installed with updates to SDC as DesktopX uses MCP aswell. Hmm wondering if thats the reason why its crashing as ObjectBar might be in your start up entry?

If you have a dialogue showing object bar loading after you log in you have sdmcd installed...I think. Anyway try turning the automatic startup inside of objectbar off and putting a shortcut to objectbar in your startup folder. That should work.

MCP has been taken off site until they fix it...if you don't show SDMCP.exe running in Task Manager Processes then you don't have it. You can, as Travis suggested, put it in the startup folder, but other then that you'll have to start manually until they put the fix in MCP and re-up to SDC....won't be long.

Not that I know of, I just put the short cut to ObjectBar in the startup folder. I have no idea what that is.

If it's working fine on a manual start you're far better off waiting for the MCP (Smart Start) to come out with the fix. It won't be long and you'll probably break more then you fix in the interim to get it to start on re-boot. Hang tight for awhile.
