Trade

First off, love the game.  I know it's beta and you're still working things out, so, a suggestion...

When I'm trying to trade with someone else and get the best deal possible, it's often very difficult to see the trade meter as I add/remove things.  Perhaps changing the color schemes a bit or putting a black border around it would make it easier?  Not sure what the best solution is, but it's very difficult with certain races to see the meter moving at all.

Thanks!

Edit: Playing the drath and trading with the Onyx is particularly rough.

Yeah playing the Terran Alliance and trying to trade with the Terran Resistance is also incredibly hard to see that slider. I was thinking of something similar to your idea, putting like a black line between the sides with a visible pointer thing on top of it.

Happy Monday !

Yeah, they should change the bar color so it has a higher contrast.  It should be a rather simple fix to just change the bar color.

Yeah, it took me a while to realize there was even a slider. Changing the contrast is a no-brainer. Also having a visible mark in the middle so that you don't have to mentally estimate 50% of the width of a 10" bar.

The slider is better than nothing but I'd like to think that there is a better form factor.

  1. When I select credits or credits per turn, I just want a button that add whatever is necessary to get the trade to even. Why bother with < and > buttons?
  2. In the galactic bazaar, everything has a price in credits. Since nearly everything is fungible in this game, why can't the UI simply tell us what everything is worth in the current setting?

I know these are bigger asks but they don't seem particularly difficult to pull off.
