So playing the Terrans, I researched Technological Singularity.  The game then froze while seemingly processing the "turn" for the Mantis civilization.

So I shut down and went to bed. Got up and decided to finish the game.  Again researched Technological Singularity, and picked something new to research.  The game immediately locked up again and in the lower right hand corner showed "Mantis."

Can't remember what I selected to research after Tech Sing, but it was different on the two attempts.
