Tourism

I'd love to make researching Tourism a thing.  I know it is difficult to balance, so I'm being patient.  But are there any ideas out there?

Eitehr way, an idea for a new tourist-mechanic could favourably hook into the citizens mechanic, particularly their expectation-rating;

 

opportunities for tourism could benefit the approval of the tourist citizens, such that the ones with high expectations would "expect" to access appealing tourist locations be it inside the own empire or on firendly alien worlds that shared open borders (or some manner of tourist treaty?).

once tourism occurs, it would give wealth to the host, as in previous games...

I haven't tried building any tourism building since the .45 alpha version. When I did in that version I was getting less than one 1 credit per turn total from all of my tourism, so IMHO it's worthless as is.

it looks to me like tourism is at exactly 1gc.  So a 10% tourism improvement gives a flat 0.1

I'm sure it will be fleshed out.
