Money Cheat?

I found a bug in the game where i can get a half billion credits right away. Is this a known bug or has it been fixed in a patch ?

Since bc stands for billion credits, 0.5bc is not much.

Jokes aside, you need to elaborate on how you did it so that we can know if it is known. Include your game version as well.

Okay, im running the straight CD version, which is why i asked if it was patched.

START a new game. And immdiately choose to build a Survey Ship. Press TURN until 12-14 months pass. Then choose PURCHASE. In the PURCHASE SCREEN highlight SCOUT. The top choice should show -4xx,xxx,xxx BC. Click that choice, and BOOM you got more money than you can possibly even spend in one game.

The thing is, when you are building the Survey ship you cannot choose SCOUT then PURCHASE. IT won't work. You have to hit purchase on the survey ship then highlight Scout to get the money.

Its so simple its funny. Thats why i figured it was something known.

There have been many patches. I would guess that something like that has been caught already.

Download the patches anyway, 1.05 is much better than the CD version.

Well, I just tested, and it's definitely taken care of in the expansion beta.
