No internet access

I just installed Object Desktop. However, I still have not successfully opened the software. When I click on the icon to start the program, I see the Object Desktop Login window. I enter my account email ,password, and then press enter. After about 30 to 50 seconds I see the "No Internet Access" window. Is says:

Object Desktop requires internet access to login.

I can open a browser, and navigate to the Stardock website with no issues. I can also use the same login criteria to login to my account, and see various aspects of my account.

I am running WIN 7 PRO 64. I am using Google Chrome for my browser. Am I doing something wrong?

Please advise...

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having trouble.

If Object Desktop Manager is failing to reach our servers, please use this alternate method for getting your products:

https://www.stardock.com/support/productkeyretrieval

or your account page:

https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products

Be sure to try all the email addresses you know you have or could have used, especially ones you may use for PayPal or other payment services.

I am having the same issue.

Your suggestion is helpful as a workaround but it does not fix the problem that I and the original poster are seeing - Object Desktop will not open because it will not connect and login from the desktop...

Why can't Object Desktop connect to login? How do we get that fixed?

Thanks!

Does this happen with the ODM beta on your account page?

I download the bate installer and the regular installer and still get can't connect to the activation server. The bate installer did open to show the list of programs, but when I go to open them, I keep getting the same issues. >:(

For them both to be blocked, it would indicate there is something other than the apps to be responsible for it.

In these rare cases, please use one of the following methods to get your products:

So I installed all the programs and restart my computer. Download the installer, and tried to log in to get: NEED INTERNET ACCESS message. Uninstall the installer, download the beta, installed the beta. I can log into the beta :D. Was able to download Fences 3, try login in and I get PROBLEM CONNECTING TO THE ACTIVATION SERVER.

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having trouble.

I get PROBLEM CONNECTING TO THE ACTIVATION SERVER.

Again, we sometimes see that with PCs that have an aggressive firewall or AV application(s).

That said, there is an offline activation method that was shown with the prompt.  Please follow the steps for it.

I'm facing the same issue - when I try to offline download, there is nothing in downloads or order history...  Please advise workaround.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. But not really sure what you mean by "Offline Download"? You could download directly all the software you own from you account : https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products

and there is a offline activation method. https://forums.stardock.com/486311/accounts-and-activation-support-faq#activateproduct (Need to scroll down for a bit for section on offline activation)

Thank you, however the issue is the website!  The downloads page or product retrieval tool does not work at all.  There is no server communication and says to contact support, when I contact support they cannot specifically refer me to a solution, but to these forums.  This makes no sense, this is new product and if I cannot get resolved I will cancel.

How do I retrieve the actual download file if there is nothing in my downloads section of profile?

Go to your account page if you take a look at reply #3 where it says Object Desktop Manager underneath click on View Individual Downloads. You can install all your apps separately.

That appears to be the case or another email address was used.

Emily, there is no purchases under your @siemens.com address.  Please try any other email addresses you could have used.
