Involuntary Mouse pointer change

Hi,

I've recently been having trouble with USB devices unplugging and replugging themselves  so it may just be the bus playing up. But I recently had a mouse freeze while playing (Intrigue 3.05 or whatever it is now) and after getting the mouse back by rebooting have now apparently permanently got a larger than usual mouse after starting galciv3 - though it's normal otherwise. (I presume I'm not misremembering the mouse appearance before the crash  - if so apologies)

Obviously, this is far from fatal but I was wondering whether anybody else has experienced this and how to reset. I went into the win10 control panel and reset the pointer there but it doesn't seem to help. Also validated files for the game and reacquired. Is there a pointer setting somewhere in an .ini file or otherwise which has somehow become corrupted?  (I don't see  a mouse pointer option in the options.)

Cheers,

Jon

Are you using a USB mouse? Have you checked to see if the problem is actually your mouse drivers and configuration first? If it is not a PS/2 mouse, it probably has some sort of software to configure it.

Hi, Yes it is a usb mouse - hence the comments about the usb devices. It was working fine until there was some sort of usb incident so yes I will reinstall it and see if that sorts it out. But I was wondering whether some sort of .ini file had been overwritten in the excitement causing the continuing mild problem.
