Well, it is OCT 2017, and still no new general posts to the public.
No new videos, images, or anything, since pretty much March this year, and then that was only an interview, not new images/footage.
I'm worried now.
To relate my fears, once upon a time, I was stuck with WoW being the best game to play for my "taste". There was just NOTHING along a space game, let alone MMORPG, that I even slightly would have considered. As time progressed, a new MMORPG called Ever Quest NEXT
(aka EQN, aka EQ-Landmark) came out with a founder pack, just like Star Control's founder pack, and I bought it for $100.00, and got into early Alpha, then Closed Beta, and for almost a year, the world could see the progression of the game being built, even with public videos for those who did not purchase the Founders Pack. But then, EQN died. The death occurred about a year after the Alpha was available for those with Founder Packs, and then one day, the servers closed down, and EQN just disappeared. Evidently, the company sold EQN or something and then went out of business. Poof gone. And people like me were pretty much stuck with WoW being the best thing for our "tastes" to play.
Sadly I'm worried the same thing is happening to Star Control Origins (SCO), but this time, with no information on anything.
Now granted, my sad experience with EQN does not reflect anything upon SCO, but I'm not going to buy another founder's pack unless I'm sure the game is going to "get out". I otherwise wish SCO get's out, where I'm sure it will succeed.
I wish I could help you folks more, but if nothing else. please consider my post here a friendly nudge, nudge, wink, wink, please throw us a bone or something.
