What happened to ranked play?

After installing the patch today I noticed that both ranked 1v1 and 4p ffa were available. Only after chosing one or the other the menu isn't shown, just Mars spinning to the beautiful music. Wassup?

edit: there is no error in the 'TachyonLog":

Thanks! The problem only occurs on next_version. Running it wasn't a problem before, I guess there are changes that would make the versions incompatible. I have now reverted to the current version and it works like before.
