Matchmaking Changes

Today some adjustments have been made to the matchmaking system for Ashes of the Singularity.

  1. The time to match against all ranks has been reduced from approximately 2 minutes to ~1 minute. Note that players at very high and beginner ranks will (still) never be matched.
  2. Previously matchmaking prevented repeated matches against the last 5 players played. This has been reduced to the last 3 players.
We expect these changes to increase the match frequency for Ranked players, especially those of high rank.

Fantastic! i know that some people get frustrated playing against the same players repeatable, but i relish the experience (assuming they are a close match, of course).

Are you guys going to add some middle sized maps to the Matchmaking games?

I support the addition of mediums. also possibly larges. in a match of two higher level people a large map could be played out well because they know how to effectively use that much recources
