How can I find my buildings?

Okay, I know this is probably just because I'm terrible and pretty new to the game, but ... I often lose track of my buildings. I'll build a steel mill or electronics factory or something (or more than one), and later maybe I want to raze it or check on its status or something, but I forget where it is, and I just end up scanning around my headquarters slowly. Is there like a button for each building type where it can, say, put the camera on each of my buildings, similar to how you can click on a resource in the left-hand menu and the camera cycles through all the tiles on the map that have that resource?

You can press the tab key to toggle between the different HQ's (and the colony) in the game. That's the easiest way to see where things are coming from because it'll put handy little resource lines up on the screen for you to follow. There's no single button to toggle between different building types. 

More importantly though it's better not to locate buildings away from your headquarters. Locate them adjacent to your HQ so you'll have instant access to the production (unless you're a scientist which frequently has remotely located buildings). If you locate them adjoined to your HQ then that will fix your problem of searching for buildings and will yield you better results too!
