I thought of a new patent that may be an interesting and good add to the game. After purchased you can pull up a screen that shows all of your opponents resources per second. Would make it much faster and easier to get the info you need to manipulate markets. Trojan Horse!
As Patent No. If there is a Blackmarket Item that could show you 1 or 2 of the rescources ok. But even than you can just hover over their buildings and do the math yourself
I was thinking perhaps by standard you could get mouseover information about your opponent's total net consumption + productionby like we now do with the colony.
I can see that as standard too. Either way would be cool. Might be a nice little bonus if it were a patent though.
I think production screen as addition to other graphs and charts will be pretty useful. I find mouseovers somewhat inconvenient, but that's just a matter of personal preferences.
What I would like to have, though, is a shortcut to all different screens, or at least those that matter - bm, techs, resources and summary.
And on a similar note, a shortcut for toggling auto selling power would be super-uber awesome! 
What I want is that for Observers that is . That on the bottom there should be a window That Show you How much every1 is earning on their Rescources per turn if they would sell them at that moment. So Water is 40$ on the market now, Some1 is making 2,5 water = 100$. So Water would be 100$. Some1 is making 2,5 Water and has 1 Farm? 2,5 water - 1 water = 1,5 water, 1,5 water*40$= 60$ Profit
Just to not make it messy at the bottom of the screen for the Observers (Like when 8 Players are playing) Have the Top 2 Players that are making the most profit of set Rescource.

Offworld ( Latest Sends are shown) 1 Offworld making 32k(Fuel) Profit (in a 1 min span) at 23 Seconds(of the 1 min) and 34k Fuel at 45 Sec = 32+34= 66k Profit(only shows you the profit of the latest sent per Offworld)

Or have another tab Like when you hacks/patents/Engis/Offworlds but than what i have shown you above as vertical. It would also be fun to have an Blackmarket option for this that when you target an opponents Hq you will see the Top 3 Rescources which are making him the most Profit.
You know what thinking of it more it shouldn't be a patent it should be a bm. Buy it and drop it on the colony you want to monitor. After that when you click on their hq all of your stats to the left are replaced with theirs!
