GavCiv III + Adobe Flash / Silverlight = system crash with Win 10 Dual monitor

Happened a few times, not sure how to reproduce.

Windows 10, dual monitor setup, Nvidia graphics card.

GalCiv III in one window, Firefox in the second.

Firefox is running Pandora (Flash) or Netflix (Silverlight)

Play for awhile, can pause Netflix or let it run (I was watching Friends re runs).

Observed:  Silverlight crashing, Pandora hanging / skipping tracks, system reboot, graphics insanity leading to hard shutdown

Have not observed this happen when the browser is running youtube videos, reading forums, or checking email.

Have not tested with Chrome yet.  Does not happen with Skype, Amazon music, or Kindle.

Seems graphics related, sometimes the game will hang for a second when a star system is revealed, that is often when this will occur.

   I play on Gigantic maps.

I had netflix paused (forgot it was on in another tab) and I prefer to listen to Pandora than in game music :P

This has happened 4 or 5 times so far, these are the common elements of these times, the rest are from all the other times it did not happen.

I'll try to reproduce using netflix, but I've had no problems running the game on one monitor and videos on firefox on another, also nvdia card.

Edit: So far 1 episode of the 100 (pretty cool show, glad I rediscovered I had netflix account) no problems except wony sound every now and then. How common is it. does it hapen everytime?

Just a thought: Win10 auto updated my network adapter a few days ago. After that I started getting crashes and network connection issues every time I streamed a video with silverlight (e.g. netflix). Turned out Win10 had installed an older network adapter driver than I had had. Rolling back the driver to the previous (newer) version fixed the issue.

Your issue may be completely unrelated but just in case you got the same update...

That's odd, I have a triple monitor setup, run Win10 and have had many more things running than you have mentioned for a lot longer and have not run into any issues yet. One thing that is different (not knowing anything about your system and specs) is that I don't let flash run at all in Firefox or any where else for that matter as it's a big security risk that should have been retired long ago... Silverlight hasn't caused me issues that I'm aware of yet either. Maybe it's related to the amount of RAM you have? No idea what may be causing your issue. Hope you gete it resolved soon though!

Edit: Here are my specs-

ASUS Maximus VII, i7 4970K @ 4.4, GTX 970 SSC, 32GB G.Skill DDR 2133, Win 10 Pro, Track IR5, Warthog, CH Pro Pedals, CH Throttle Quadrant, 1 32" & 2 19" monitors

Haven't been able to reproduce this issue, running insane maps and watching netflix on the second monitor (or having it paused) my Card is a GTX745 OEM, and I only have 16gb RAM. Have you tried the troubleshooting? I had a lot of graphics issues solved by reinstalling the nvididia drivers on clean install as suggested there.

Usually happens after I have been playing a while (hour+).

Happened immediately on starting a game with the 1.4 opt in (when generating a map).

Working though my drivers right now.

I Also use Adobe Air for Pandora.

Turned out to be an abandoned extension (scriptsafe). So far so good.
