God Mode Question

I'm playing a huge/normal game as the Iconians against the Yor.  Is it possible to completely take over as the Yor, so I can see what their civilization budget looks like?

It's about turn 150.  I have 25 planets, they have 8.  I'm way ahead on everything but military.  I have 25 ships, they have something like 225!  How can they possibly afford the upkeep on so many ships?  I've built about 10 medium ships so far; they've built at least 40.

I can't figure out how the "god" console command is supposed to work, and I've done a lot of googling on that to no avail.  I found several posts where people casually mention taking over the AIs, but they never say how.

I can open the console and execute the command.  That lets me look at the enemy planets (and notice that they are horribly undeveloped).  But I can't seem to find a way to "take over" the enemy civilization, as "help god" indicates one can do.

What is the obvious thing I'm missing?

The God command allows you control other civilizations, to switch to another civilization you must use localplayer #, where # is the index of the civilization you want to switch to. The index is based on the order you put the opponents, I believe 0 is the human controlled one.

Okay, the Yor are cheating like crazy. That's with a normal AI and a normal galaxy. In my huge game, my Iconians have 25 planets, the Yor have eight. I'm generating 450 research per turn, they're generating about 40. I'm way, way ahead on everything, except military. At turn 177 they had 16,895 credits and were supposedly in the red for 498 per turn. They have 8 shipyards and are producing a ship every turn at each shipyard, rushing most of them. They have their overall manufacturing set at 70% military, and 7 of their planets are almost completely undeveloped. At turn 200 they've pulled significantly ahead of me in faction power (about 800 to 700), they're still rushing ships every turn, and their budget shows them with 16,591 credits, supposedly in the red 969 per turn. I've won lots of GalCiv3 games and most of the civs apparently don't cheat at normal level. But obviously the Yor do. Or at least it looks that way. It looks like they get a secret bonus of at least 1500 credits per turn, and probably huge extra bonuses to military manufacturing. I thought the AI was supposed to be honest at normal difficulty. Incidentally, I've only gotten as far as turn 200 by saving every turn, reloading when the Yor declare war. I'd hoped they would eventually bankrupt themselves with ship maintenance costs and would eventually start having to dismantle ships. Am I missing something? Are they actually dismantling older ships and buildings in order to maintain the insane military build-up?

What are their population levels? Did they get the artifact?(disregard if you don;t have the Mega Events DLC) Maybe they got lucky with anomaly rewards. Honestly there's not much I can say without seeing it myself.

Perhaps you should consider sending the savegame to Stardock or Frogboy?

Thanks again for reply. I've been emphasizing food so my population is easily 10 times theirs. I don't have the Mega Events DLC. Hard to believe anomalies could account for all of this. They're running a huge deficit and continuing to rush several ships per turn. They seem to be getting a subsidy of thousands of credits a turn. I'd love to understand this. I've copied the save game to my desktop, but I don't see a way to attach it to this reply. Please tell me how to do that.

Easiest would be to use Dropbox.
