Galaxy defaults and settings

Hi, so I am a map designer.

I am currently having an issue with the galaxy height defaults. Simply when two suns, planets, or entities stand close to each other they are forced to change height on the map location. The default settup for location settings for suns and planets is x and y. The default settup for location settings for entities is x, y and z.

My current issue is for the star object. I am creating a map similar to the Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebelion, Gemini.

The two or more star objects are too close to one another by design. I made several changes to the galaxy and the star setting. Making changes to the galaxy size or scale. Making changes to the star radius.

I was not able to find any solutions. The galaxy map would load without issues. It does create a problem where the phaselanes from the design planets sometimes extend and the star positions are randomized in the height plane with total disproportion.

You cannot set the height, or Z coordinate, in Sins. It is always set randomly, with planet offsets only varying about 3% of the Star's position, just like real solar systems. Stars' Z coordinates are set farther apart; I've never seen them overlap.

So I'm afraid you should avoid making maps where the Z coordinates matter.
