Self designed ships pictures or thumbnails to small in List

I was wondering if anyone knows how to solve the issue of the ships pictures or thumbnail

being so small in the various lists(ship yard, combat, fleet). It is starting to bug me a bit.

I noticed that effected most on the ships I or others have designed.

I have tried a few things with no luck.  Any Ideas???

The problem here is the ship designer measuring something about how far back the rear-most component is from your starting point to determine how big it thinks the ship is.

 

To fix it, you can go to the ship designer and move the base component forward on the Z axis, that will make your design thumbnails go from this:

 

to this:

I've found that for best results, the entire ship should fit between -25 and +25 on the Z-axis. The more you go over that, the smaller the thumbnail.

Ok, stupid question but how do I correctly identify the base component to move?

Because I've tried to do this with no luck. So maybe I'm using the component.

When you're designing a ship there's a row of components along the bottom of the screen, it's the first one :)

 

BUT! if you've designed a ship on a starting 'box' from scratch, it could be that you have multiple base components you need to move. You'l have to hunt around for them then.
