I don't think that solves all planetary invasion freeze... (see #HLP-566-14678).

Seems so...I really should have booted it up before posting.

Such a nitpick but I have to say as I saw it instantly, I noticed the Altarians hair on that splash screen looks a bit messed up/patchy underneath the headpiece, like it has been sliced wrong in photoshop or something.

Really like the new opening screen despite the Altarians bad hair day

Broken starbase screen >> FIXED

Broken invasion screen >> FIXED

Great job on the rapid turn around

Tutorial was nice but could use more.  You start off with the REALLY basic stuff, which is ok, but then you leave the new player to fend for him/her self.   You should find away to add  some info on starbases, logistics, fleet formation, ect.

same here, I only see .95 ...

Also only see 0.95, previous patch (38MB) seemed to run well, this one crashed after only 8 turns, also video sequences (research, colonisation etc) are 'jerky'.

In Steam, get the properties on the game. Local files tab, hit the browse local files button. In the window that opens, get the properties on the GalCiv3.exe. Version info is on the Details tab.

Yea when you browse local files I can see its 95.5. Blast it, I will have to restart a new game again....

Yeah, I didn't notice that the game D/Led another patch (didn't have to opt-in again this time) and was getting ready to report some issues until I noticed that steam had downloaded something, which turned out to be another patch last night... Time to start over. lol

yeah because the same bugs were present as in beta 5 I just stopped its not worth it to keep doing the same things, but now there is another new patch i'll start up a new game and maybe the persistent battle viewer bug is finally fixed. If that one serious bug is fixed the rest can be dealt with post launch, this is the one crucial bug that must be fixed or your review score will tank

Is it possible when patching hotfixes to increment the version number. I didn't know this was added. For example, instead keeping 0.95 it should be 0.95.1 or 0.951. I'm watching for the change in version numbers to determine if I need to start a new game to test something else.

I have often wondered why something so simple always seems to elude :S
