How do you guys play the Yor?

How much do you build before you set the planets to pop growth?  Do you set new colonies immediately to growth?

I build up basic facilities first, factories and research labs before increasing population. Not that it matters much, usually get thrown into a game long war against the Terrans, Alterians and Krynn.

I get to my approval cap, then build, then grow again. On better planets I will sometimes only build 1/2 or 1/3 before growing up to the new approval cap and repeat.
