WindowFX crashes on Windows 8.1

Hi,

I'm using ASUS UX303LN running Windows 8.1. As soon as I installed the trial version of WindowFX and turned on, it immediately refreshed my screen for several times (blink) and logged me out of windows. When I tried to login again, the same happened and I got logged out. Even after re-start it still did the same thing. Needless to say I couldn't work with the computer. I had to boot into safe mode and uninstall the program before everything got back to normal. Any idea why?

AV? You mean video card?

Any solution to solve it if that's the problem?

I suspect it is a Security app running in the background, if so, try whitelisting WFX.

.........or it may be related to the fact that it is a touchscreen.

Either way, you should probably submit a ticket to Stardock Support so they can have a look at what is going on. You can do that here: https://esupport.stardock.com/index.php?/Tickets/Submit

Ok thanks I will try whitelisting in my AV program. However I use the same AV program on Windows 7 and it works ok.

I'll also submit a ticket to Stardock Support.

Does your laptop have high resolution, 3200 x 1600 like mine? Did you set it at a very high DPI scaling? According to the feedback I got from Stardock that could have been the issue.
