Moving in good direction...but what about combat

Been playing the Beta for a few hours today and im enjoying seeing nice new features and some polish on things.  What im not enjoying is combat.  When is combat going to become something like we are used to seeing in GC 2?  I loved combat in there and the way it flowed.  I could just sit back and watch my ships and feel like it was a movie(also a great way to take screenshots which I did for my comic.)  Im hoping, that this isnt the way combat will be for the game, if so, yikes.
