I think Frog said the next one will be map stuff, which is cool. I think this has been suggested before, but sometime in the future, a champion pack would also be cool. What would be really awesome is a champion creator for the workshop.
I would caution SD against this.
Unless they plan for it will be better than the Champion Bonanza mod, I think this would frustrate the modding community further.

A champion pack is one of the last things the game needs at this time.
I also think modders could do this just as well, if not better.
