YouTube, Monetization, and Alpha Process

Hi,

I was wondering what the disclosures and policy was for making monetized Let's Play videos of Gal Civ 3 while it is in the Alpha (and Beta) states.

Thanks

You can do anything you want with footage and pictures, but you can't include the official game logo and you need to mention it's in alpha development.

There's no hard information on NDA information right now.  I know in the past we haven't placed any restrictions on videos, it was always recommended to make note that the game is in an alpha/beta state and not to be presented as a final product.

Generally speaking we are fine with ads on user videos, but you may not use our logos. You can just type the names/titles out. As Island Dog noted, any alphas/betas should note such and this is all subject to any particular prohibitions that may be set when prerelease versions are made available.

Thanks for the info. I've searched but can't find the post about not using the logos. Really confused about that context as it doesn't seem to make sense. The logo is emblazoned across the options intro screen which is a really important part of the information to show.

There's no NDA, but as the other person quoted me before, it needs to clearly state this is an alpha and not the final product.

As far as logos go, that would be taking our logos and using them separately. Having them shown in the video is fine.

Great Thanks. :) I'll be uploading the first of 2 videos shortly in that case.
