Lore: A few things of note

As the story of sins progresses we can definitely see the impact that the Great Enemy (As I call them, the Vasari's mysterious enemies). It wasn't till diplomacy/rebellion that we saw the races unite through Diplomacy to either stand or flee from the invaders. There was supposed to be a code that would hint toward who the Enemy is but to my knowledge it was never found (Can anyone elaborate on this). Now we have Stellar Phenomena which includes two features that I hypothesize hint towards the Great Enemy is close... very close.

Spoiler Alert!!!

One of the new features is the random event of the Mad Dark Fleet Titan rampaging from Planet to Planet, if the Dark Fleet has caught up or if newer titans are being effected I think its pretty good to assume that the enemy is close. The next piece of evidence is something I have that is based on speculation. We all know Black Holes are meant to tear apart systems, but when you look at the Info Panel for the Black Hole it says "Somehow a black hole has formed without destroying the planets". Logic dictates that that is impossible but with the Mad Dark Fleet Titan and the possibility of the Great Enemy being so close is it wrong to assume that this could very well be their doing?

Again this is all speculation but what do you think friends :)

Without this we know the enemy is close, that's why the Vasari is planning to escape from this galaxy, but they won't be successful.

We had dark fleet in original Sins as well, I don't really think this is much different from it. If the Vasari is here for several decades now, their enemies could be close, and the ships effected by it as well.

"Somehow a black hole has formed without destroying the planets"

I think it is just for the sake of logic so it won't be that strange to have a black hole in the solar system. Though maybe it has something with the Nemesis, but they haven't arrived yet in ex-Trader Space, so how could they have done that?

Interesting thoughts.

Personally, i think the Mad Titan does not really prove, that enemy is close...after all, the Titan you can produce yourself, are summoned from rest of the Dark Fleet as well, they are not newly constructed vessels like Titans of other factions. Obviously, since the Vasari are fragmented into many smaller entities, each with a possibilty to call upon their own titan, there are many more titans with the dark fleet out there. And it just happens, that a titan, whose crew went mad, is part of that fleet.

The only thing, which it may suggest IMHO, is that, there is not really any nemesis. Maybe its just whole Vasari race fallen into insanity, similarly to what happened in Event Horizon, or many other scifi movies/shows. Perhaps as a consequence of some failed experiment. And now they are running away basically not from another hostile race, nor from replicating nanobots eating up the universe, but basically from a threat, they will become insane themselves. Even though they are not aware of that.

In regard to blackholes, thats really interesting. Maybe its connected, maybe its not. Maybe the description is there just to "justify" the existence of these objects ingame, even though they would not make much sense otherwise.

Or perhaps the Arch-nemesis really is:

Sounds like a successor to SttC....

Btw, black holes don't tear up planets, the supernovas would do that...however, I would imagine planets without sunlight probably wouldn't be lovely terrans....
