Recording a playthrough

Which software do you guys use to record a game while playing?

 

In the past I used Fraps but it makes huge files and separate them it's a big hassle.

 

There must be something better out there?

In case it wasn't clear, it was a joke. PM the ones doing lets play stuff here if they are still doing it, if not try some other gaming forums or something.

While I do not know how good of a recording app it is, you can use VLC to record your on-screen activities.

I used to XSplit but they cost money. OBS is like the same thing but free. You can stream to twitch or create an offline save to upload to youtube.
