Anybody ever notice that you can't disable "Conquest" as a victory condition?

What's up with that?  What if you want to create a game where Spell of Making is the only victory condition?

If you kill off all the opponents, there's nobody left to lose to. And if they kill you, then it doesn't really matter what the victory conditions were--you won't exactly be in a position to achieve them :)

Well, some people play the game not necessarily to win or lose, but to have fun. Why should it matter if there's no one to lose to?

being able to disable it would let people just play against the monsters.

That could be cool in itself.

Or be able to set up a map that has no AI opponents, and it's just you against a map full of monsters. =)

That's called a scenario, and I'm sure someone can develop a you against monsters scenario. Although I have not been successful in creating a random map for a scenario. That would be a feature request...

No, I mean a random map setup when its just you against the monsters, with varying degrees of space available (customisable in starting options, including random option).  Yes, I know it's a feature request, hereby I officially request it. =)
