Trouble installing a map

Hi

I'm reading GoaFan77's amazing SoaSE:R-Guide for Beginners, but I have run into a problem. I'm trying to install the "practice map", and I'm closely following the recipe:

To play this map, go to the "My Documents" folder. Then go to "My Games",
"Ironclad Games", "Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion", then "Galaxy Forge".
Paste the "Open Tutorial and Exploration Map.Galaxy" file in this Galaxy Forge
folder.

Optional: To get the custom picture to display, paste the "ScenarioPicture-OpenTutorial.tga"
file into your Rebellion Texture folder, located in the Steamapp folder.

But nothing happens, - I can not find the map "Open Tutorial and Exploration Map.Galaxy" among the other maps ingame. I thought it would be available in the "Single Player/Galaxy Forge" option ingame.

Does anyone know a solution to this ?

There is a slight typo in the instructions. X| The folder is actually "GalaxyForge" without any space, and the folder should already be there. If you created a folder called "Galaxy Forge" and put the map there that might be the problem.

Once in the right folder it indeed should appear in the Galaxy Forge tab in game.

Hi  :)

I bought SoaSE:R on my Steam account, and the path is by default: /programs/Steam/steamapps/common/Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion/Galaxy Forge

The folder "Galaxy Forge" is by default without space, but I have now tried both - and the result is the same.

Hmmm.... strange

The problem is solved!

I made a simple "windows search" in files and folders, looking for "Galaxy Forge", and it turned out, that my Steam installation has also created a string for SoaSE:R in "Documents and Settings". (And there the second "GalaxyForge" map was without space).

After placing the "Open Tutorial and Exploration Map.Galaxy" in this map, it shows out correctly ingame too - Voila!
