Forbidden Worlds

Hey

Because of the Steam Summer Sale, I'm considering getting Forbidden Worlds

The question is should I?

Are you able to disable the DLC (even if you just disable it "in game") to play without its effects?

Are the additions to the game worth the money?

Please and thank you :)

Yes.

No- but you probably won't want to once you start playing the DLC.

It would however be really easy to create a MOD that removes the DLC features. Considering no one has done that is pretty telling IMO.

1/2 as much as a value meal at McDonalds for a pretty good game. Sure.

He speaks the truth, it is well worth getting.

It is done.

Well I've read that it slows down game play a little - I guess that won't matter much as I mainly only play singleplayer.

Actually a mod has been out already.  However, the DLC is quite nice, so not much reason to disable it.

A couple more questions dear forum goers!

This is a request for information I haven't been able to find on the wiki. If you could point me towards tge onfp that would be awesome.    What' are the societies bonuses and artifacts added by the DLC?

Is improving population on every planet better than improving trade? Does anyone have any idea what the numbers for this are?

Do "hidden" planetary bonuses have an effect regardless of whether or not they are seen?

How do these work? E.g. anarchist society has a 25% penalty to everything.  Is that penalty a flat rate or based on the planet's known allegiance?

I.e. your capital has anarchist society. Is the total allegiance 85, 75 or 75% of 110?

Is the UI supposed to reflect the changes? Or are you supposed to read the top of the info card, then apply the bonuses and penalties due to society,  then bonuses and penalties due to specialisation?  And do those stack or they a flat rate?

Cheers :)
