Reorganize Army or change Army Leader?

Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere (I did my best searching)...

I want to change the "leader" of an army.  I have two champions in there (Joffery and Ascia) along with some other fodder units, and for some reason the game refuses to let Joffery be the leader.  Every time I pull Ascia out of there, then put her back in, she becomes leader again.  Every time it is the Army's turn, I get that shadowcat growl and it is driving me NUTS.

i guess that the army leader is the hero/unit with highest level... Check it if asia got more level than joffrey to confirm my suspicion

Yes, that seems to be the case.  A way to reorganize how the army is ordered would be nice, so that my low-level spearmen aren't always the first thing in reach of wolves...
