map designer problems - disconnected planet groups?

help!

Every map I make with the map designer (the in game one) in Sins Rebellion seems to come back with disconnected planet groups in the preview. That is, there are groups of planets (and in many cases player starting positions) that are not connected to the larger map (or the star) via phase lanes. I've tried many different settings and can't seem to resolve this issue. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Thus far, I haven't been able to produce anything usable. I don't recall ever having had this problem with Trinity's map designer.

Are you using the Rebellion 1.5 beta? Because there even the random or pre-made maps have this problem too..

I am using the beta, though I was having some trouble with this even before the beta. I hadn't entirely realized that it had gotten worse because of the beta, but that would explain why no attempt to correct the problem seems to work! Thanks for the information, that at least makes me feel better.

from my experience maps (both map designer AND galaxyforge) were working in 1.042 rebellion but 'weightedcolonisable' in rebellion 1.5beta has MAJOR issues to the point where I am having MAJOR difficulties testing the beta.
