Suggestion: Awesome Golems

although there propably wont be time to implement this, I would like to propose some suggestion for how to make Golems more fun! Especially once you get higher up on the tech tree!

 

1: A Sword used by a huge golem should hurt a lot more than a sword wielded by a human. It would thus make sense to give them a passive bonus to damage, to represent them being a huge golem.

2: One could perhaps improve (strategic) movement, since I guess Golems do not tire and could thus run 24/7, which humans wouldnt manage.

3: Golems only have a single skill, which is currently +10 defence. What about giving them a full (3) set of traits to choose from?

4: It would be very fun if further tech tree advances could unlock specific golem traits and assecories. Flame throwers? Primitive Rocket launcher (think a Korean Hwacha like thing)? Ability to cast shockwave?

5: In terms of blance, yes, that would make them stronger, but they are competing with pretty good Gilden troops who will likely be very well armoured and have a lot of hitpoints.

 

P.S.

To make use of Golems right now: Be an ironeer race with Wanderlust, give Golem and Athican sword, all initiative boosts you can get and use him as a tank that occassionally kills a dude. They are good for tanking stuff that has overpower, or for dueling Juggernauts (Longsword + Shield Golem actually dodges not that bad), but pretty meh for most over things.
