Fallen Enchantress Story discussion

I know probably many of us prefer sandbox play, but I am kind of "Story guy"

who will always finish the scenarios in an TBS/RTS first before go for Skirmish / Sandbox.

 

I just finished FE story but not very sure on the plot line,

I try google wiki but FE game plot is written very short there and couldn't find more

 

 

 

------------------------------SPOILERS ALERT (Start)--------------------------------------

 

It sound like a girl who can predict the future then is quarantined in a temple from danger.

and Relias come in and wanted to to seek for her,

then later one of his partner, Shiyrane (the archer girl) died when they enter the temple.

and that supernatural girl should be Ceresa, and she hates Relias.

She also turn Shiyrane into a monster and Relias has no choice but to kill her in the final battle at Chapter 12

The story end with Ceresa predict the conflict is not end yet and there will be a great war between Kingdoms and Empires very soon.

and players are encourage to read Destiny Ember. (I did bought 2 years back just wanted to play a game that i know the background)

The rest are just favor (mini-sub plot) added here and there which can be ignored.

 

Am I capturing the story correctly? But I was pondering

1) Why Relias want seek for Ceresa / Fallen Enchantress? he wants some prediction as well?

2) Why Ceresa / Fallen Enchantress hate Relias so much? Disturbing her peace? for she has some evil plan?

3) There is a big rock giant kind of partner left after map 2 and kill by Relias in map 3, anyone know the detail cause?

4) Only Relias interested in seeking the fallen Enchantress, no other factions / heroes for other reasons?

I think I missed that because I skipped a few heavy texts and also could't related all of them together.

If you could help, that will be be great.

1. That girl that is in the temple is the fallen enchantress. The reason he was sent to look for that girl is to see if they could prevent the rise of a sorcerer based empire.

2. Ceresa hates Relias so much because he did not listen to her warnings to leave her alone, and instead he turned her into the enchantress.

3. The rock Giant is Ceresa's golem. She sent it to kill relias.

4. For the purposes of this story yes only relias is interested for now, after the story others do come to seek ceresa's visions.

Just wonder what Ceresa planned to do in the temple for years refusing any visitors? :grin:

and turn totally evil simply because of a persistent guest? 

Ceresa only know to predict future or also magic? 

I remember the rock Giant did join Relias in second map?

The story goes that there was a prophecy about a power rise in the east to end all mankind. So the Queen sent Relias to get the oracle, a girl from the age of legend, that was entombed by Curgen (Big bad dude). The oracle was kept in the temple, but was ensnared by Curgen via the life stone.

Ceresa was warning Relias throughout not to free her because she knew what would happen when he did. The first attemp to free the oracle was too much for the apprenticed mage Shirayne to handle. But she was not killed on the contrary, but trapped in the same way as Ceresa.

Relias determined to free Ceresa went to find the stone that entombed her by Curgen. What Relias didn't know was that when Curgen touched the stone of life, he transformed it's powers and in turn what Relias was doing was not raising Ceresa purely... instead the stone raised Ceresa, but transformed her soul to evil. The poor innocent girl Ceresa soul was no more because of the corrupted stone. The hate she feels was drawn from Curgens power residing in the stone that Relias used to free Ceresa.

In the process, Shirayne wasn't killed either, but was in Limbo. This is why Ceresa was able to raise her back from her tomb. This corruption that resides is what drives Ceresa.

At least this is my take on the story.

Ceresa may not simply be evil though, remember the fallen were all created by the titans and yet we have a few, probably more than we have seen, that are willing to work with others that are not fallen to try and bring order around.(The fact that we have Procipiniee of all people willing to help the fallen if they accept her leadership would show that they are not totally ruined and irredeemable.)

1. She was asleep. (Or at the very least trapped)

2. Like parrotmouth said the stone corrupted her, though how fully remains to be seen.

3. Ceresa knows how to use both.
