FE cartographer

I like random, i play random maps and it's almost suiting me (Enough to like it) BUT:
I've spent a night working on the cartographer to make the map of an existing location...
Made a grid, got used to the editor, restarted my work 3 times...
The furthur i went in my work, the more i started to understand how the tools aren't
flexible and "rich" enough to transport this location to FE.

Anyone knows if Stardock/modding ppl are gonna do something to rework the cartographer? > just add some features even

Anyone tryed to make some existing place's reproduction ? Mini France for exemple ?

PS: i use only 12x8

What features exactly are you missing? Anyway, additions to the cartographer will be from Stardock, no modder can alter that tool.

I should have done a list, for exemple, when you have a large amount of land to texture >>
If i remeber well, i found two options:

• MAke it tale by tile = suicide
• Make a stamp = it will touch everything and you can't put another stamp on you have to go full manual = problems from • 1
/half solution: make a large amount of redone stamps = had some stamp selection problems,
modification problems (glitches while moding it with terrain collision, lot of time to redo everything concidering collision problems), save problems (not saving for noobnotunderstandable reasons)...

If nothing happens, soon or later i will texture 12x8 using tile by tile ^^,
Just i watch the forums didn't see anything(almost) about cartographer.

Except your tutorial = i used x)


PS: Why don't we have a choice of tales we modify at a time ? 2x2/ 3x3 / 4x4 etc. ?
Would be a first simple thing that would accelerate work by 10165465132186
And i don't speak about map finalisation/polishing... Also not funny, lotta collision imperfections

Press + and - to increase the size of your terrain tool area. No need to go tile to tile.
