Anyone else experiencing A LOT of crashes since 1.4? 1.3 worked almost perfect for me(The 1 crash a day was doable) but now I every game crashes, the new map three entente(or whatever) crashes after 3 seconds, unstable alliance after 2 hours 22 minutes 22 seconds, and one of the new ones...forgot its name... crashed after about an hour or so... It's getting REALLY annoying...I'll try one of the non-new maps but I doubt that will fix it(And they are less fun)

What we have found is that if you do get one of the minidumps go back to your most recent auto save and load from there, then resave and play and I have yet to get a second minidump. It seems to just be a one time event now at least per game. The other crashes you are getting I have not gotten ever. JUst a single minidump every other game or so.

I tried that...but any of my saves on unstable alliance doesn't work, I got an autosave about 10 mins from crash, save about 8 mins from crash, and a save 3 seconds from crash. and all crash every time :|

I already did that, Was just wondering if anybody found a fix maybe...Because I was really wanting to play sins again after not playing rebellion for over a month and now it crashes everytime  when i want to play it:(

Go to Steam -> Library -> Right click on Sins Rebellion -> Properties -> Local Files -> Verify integrity of game cache.

This updates any missing or damaged files from your game. For me the update was only partially done when i went from 1.3 to 1.4, but after doing this it worked flawless.

Hope this helps fix your shit. If you want me to explain exactly what to do in Dutch just send me a PM. I'm confident though that you will get there using the steps I explained here.

Did you submit the crash details through Fogbugz or esupport ? I deal with the crash reports coming into Stardock, so if you give me the details of your submission, I'll take a look.

I sent the report to rebellionsupport@stardock.com on 10-9-2012

I included as much info as I could in a text file, 3 saves(1 autosave 10 mins or so before crash, 1 save about 7 minutes I think, and a save 1-3 seconds before the crash) and 4 minidump files

I re-installed the game, it fixed it, until I restarted the game...Now it crashes again >.>

Hmm..intriguing...tell me more? What does the switch in decimal places herald? From past experience in other games, going from something like 1.03 to 1.04 means just simple data/stats changes while a jump to 1.1 would mean something like more substantial coding changes.

I just installed Rebellion off Steam, played for a bit them installed sins plus, now the game crashes quite a bit, is this a known issue?

and is there a known fix other than disabling it? i really like the planet pack in sins plus like the Urban planet.

was the sinsplus a REBELLION mod? if not then it IS the cause of the problems,

and assuming you have the 1.041 rebellion was the rebellion sinsplus updated to 1.041? if not then it is the cause of problems

Im not sure my files show V1.1 but i am unsure how to actually check the current version of the game and the mods

 

But i am pretty sure sins plus i grabbed is for rebellion

ridiculas, the CURRENT rebellion version  (not the beta which has some issues) is 1.041, please update your rebellion in steam.

the mod would have been updated for 1.041 and you have 1.01, which is WHY it crashes with sinsplus and any other CURRENT mod

sorry, I was wrong about the current version, the CURRENT rebellion is version IS 1.1.

 BUT the question still remains which version was the sins plus released for?

the best way to check is from the page that lead you to the sins plus download.
